About Our Medical Directors

Dr. Marcia Chesebro

Dr. Marcia Chesebro has been the Medical Director of Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation - Whitesburg Gardens since 2004. Dr. Chesebro graduated medical school from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and completed her Medicine Residency in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Dr. Chesebro is an Associate Professor of Family Medicine, an Associate Residency Program Director and Chair of the Department of Family Medicine at University of Alabama-Huntsville Regional Medical Campus. She is a member of the American Medical Directors Association and the American Academy of Family Practice.

Dr. William McCrory

Dr. William McCrory is the Pulmonary Specialty Medical Director of Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation - Whitesburg Gardens. Dr. McCrory attended medical school at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the Baylor College of Medicine and completed a Pulmonary/Critical Care Fellowship as well.

Dr. McCrory is on the Medical Records Committee and the Credentialing Committee at Huntsville Hospital. He belongs to the American College of Chest Physicians and the American College of Physicians.

Dr. Helen Powell-Stoddard

Dr. Helen Powell-Stoddard is Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation - Whitesburg Gardens' Orthopedic Specialty Medical Director. She earned her Doctorate of Medicine from Howard University and she completed her residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Powell-Stoddard currently practices medicine at SportsMed Orthopedic Surgery and Spine Center in Huntsville, Alabama.
